The PTZOptics12x-USB Gen2 Live Streaming PTZ Camera (White) is an advanced video conferencing camera that has two types: gray and white. This white series has a USB 3.0 output for connecting to any switching equipment for broadcast conferencing. The USB output is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 as long as the resolution is set to 960 x 540. Unlike the average camera that works in max 30fps recording, this product gives users the 1080p60/50 recording capability. On the streaming capability, there are two options: the H.265 and MPJEG.

On the lens, this 12x-USB Gen2 has the 3.5 - 42.3mm lens type with 12x zoom range which provides effective close-focus and broad-angle shots. Needless to discuss that the group meetings and face-to-face needs suit best with this camera. In low light conditions, this product works best with the fast f/1.8 - f/2.8 lens aperture and minimum illumination requirement of only 0.5 lux at f/1.8. To enhance the functionality in conferencing; this camera has a built-in wide dynamic range with 2D and 3D noise cancellation. The open-source feature gives plenty of flexibility to most developers; anyone can customize everything. Thus, when developers prefer using simple HTML commands; it works well with this feature. This feature can be found on the 20x and 12x models.

What this 12x-USB Gen2 camera has extra in its feature including HDMI, LAN, and composite outputs. In addition, there is the RS-485 port; and the RS.232 input and output with the daisy-chain capability. To acquire maximum connectivity; the SDI, LAN, and HDMI outputs can work concurrently while the resolution is assigned on the rear via dial connection. The composite output works at 480i/576i resolution. There are two signals for streaming via LAN output: H.264 or two H.265 RTSP signals that consist of one in SD, one in HD, or in the single MPJEG signal. Thus, it allows for direct distribution to CDNs, streaming services, and other destinations by using only the camera. The LAN port does not support power-over-Ethernet; it functions only for streaming and control.

This 12x-USB Gen2, overall, has the feature and flexibility that suit the most challenging purpose. Controlling this camera via the LAN port, ONVIF over a network, and RS-232 via VISCA commands is another privilege in connection. Thus, the RS-232 control can work with any other equipment; Tricaster Mini models, or NewTek TriCaster. Using multiple cameras to the TriCaster via the DB9 cables and its software can give easy operation. This camera is also supported with diverse software such as mobile apps for control over the network, online meeting software, VISCA Control application, and the PTZOptics Network Control. The included IR remote control gives wide adjustment through the on-screen display, set and call preset, and controls up to four cameras. In total, there can be 64 presets up to 255 via the RS-232.
